1000 days

     This piece wasn't a project for class, it was just something I decided to draw in my free time. This is the same character as the one in my "Lady Shiro" project. In this image, she is wearing a hoodie and leggings. I didn't go into too much detail for this project. I used a #2 pencil to shade it instead of a color medium. There is no background to this artwork, it's just blank.
     Value is the strong point here. I didn't want the image to look flat so I attempted to shade it in a 3D sort of way. The parts that appear from the light source are shaded too, but it's very light compared to the rest. Lines are also very important here. Her ears, head, hoodie, body, just EVERYTHING is made of lines.
     I tried out a different art style here, it's not much different than my current style, I just made the face more square. I wanted my character in a hoodie because hoodies are one of my favorite pieces of clothing. I thought leggings would be suitable bottoms for this outfit as well.
     If I had to change anything about this piece, it would be the eyes and eyebrows. I am bad at drawing 3/4 view, so here right eye looks a bit strange (to me). And her eyebrows are too long. Another thing is her right arm. It looks as though it's straight, but it's supposed to be bent like her other arm.
