Den galen kanin

The mad rabbit is my fairytale illustration project. This project was meant to be portrayed how I see a certain character. I chose the white rabbit from Alice in Wonderland. Similar to the mad hatter, I see the white rabbit to be a bit crazy or insane, as in he's not all there. I tried to portray his craziness in his eyes and his smile. He points to his stop watch just as he does in the movie because he's running late. I also made him gray instead of white to show his darker side. This piece is done in watercolor pencils.
I did use value a lot here. I made the light source in the upper left corner, this allows more shadows to be done on his backside and lower part of his body. Color is a good point, too. This image has no blank space because it was all colored and shaded in. His eyes are even colored a very light red (which turns out pink). The emphasis is more on his face because that's where his insaness is portrayed but I don't think people pay the most attention there. To be broader, emphasis is put towards the entire rabbit.
I chose a bunny because I feel that they are one of my strong suits when it comes to drawing. I specifically chose the white rabbit because the idea I had for him was the best one I had compared to other characters.
The one judgement I have for this piece is the value/shading. It was my first time using water color so I wasn't sure how to go about it. I messed up on his hands and shaded them too dark.
